Mamie Marie Cummins Morris, 100, of Grenada, died Monday, April 22, 2013, at Grenada Living Center.
Visitation is Wednesday, April 24, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Garner Harper Funeral Home in Grenada. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 3 p.m. with the Rev. J.C. Hubbard and the Rev. Tom Potter officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Morris was born in Webster County to James Cummins and Minnie Lee Burchfield on Nov. 26, 1912. She was married to Asa Morris.
She is survived by three nieces Bobbye Dykes (Tommy) of Grenada, Debbie Jarreau (Floyd) of Jarreau, La., and Marylin Blanton (Drew) of Laurel, Miss.; and two nephews, James Cummins (Elizabeth) of Kilmichael and Billy Cummins (Ransey) of Homewood, Miss.; three great-nephews, Scott Dykes, Kyle Dykes and Kris Jarreau; and one great-niece Katie Jarreau.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and one brother Clayton Cummins and two sisters Robbie Allday and Essie Cummins.
Pallbearers are Scott Crawford, James Cummins, Kyle Dykes, Scott Dykes, Kris Jarreau, and Randy Morgan. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Cummins, Jimmy Cummins, Tommy Dykes, J.A. Hoop, and Floyd Jarreau.
Garner Harper Funeral Home is in charge.
