Myrtie Mae Fondren, 82, of Berry died Friday, April 5, 1996. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Union Grove Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa County, with burial in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. Charles Segrest will officiate. Collins-Burke Funeral Home will direct. Parlor Time will be at 6 tonight.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Foster Fondren and her son, James Harold (Coon)Fondren.
She is survived by three daughters, Dorothy Mae Terry of Berry, Norma Jean(Cox)Fondren of Patton Hill ad Ola Mae Swindle of Berry; one daughter-in-law, Joan W. Fondren of Patton Hill; two sisters, Birdie Lee Ernest of Champaign, Ill., and Delora Fulgham of West Point, Miss.; one brother, George Harris of Oakman; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.
