Anderson - Dewey ''Duke'' Bair, 72, Anderson, died January 8, 2003 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born April 6, 1930 in Hitchins, Kentucky, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. He lived in Anderson since 1955.
He was a union carpenter and worked in all aspects of building and remodeling. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union in Muncie for over 40 years. His life was centered around his children and grandchildren. He was deeply loved and forever will be missed.

He is survived by his Children: Connie Bair & husband Kenny Hall, Dewey Wayne Bair, Eddie & wife Wanda Bair, Glen Bair, Candy Duke Bair, Lannie Duke Bair, Elizabeth Bair & fiance Michael Jordan, Jazmyne Bair, John R. & wife Theresa Worsham, Richard H. & wife Lisa Worsham, Becky J. Worsham & husband Ray Reding and Roy M. & wife Reesa Dawes. Three Brothers: John Carlos Bair, William D.& wife Lannie Bair and Fred G.& wife Carol Bair. One Sister: Lou E Bair Martin. Thirty Grandchildren & Seven Great Grandchildren. Several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded by his Parents: Alonzo & Verna A Hayes Bair. Son: Derk Allan Bair. One Brother: Harry ''Eddie'' Bair. Two Sisters: Elizabeth ''Betty'' Bair Kidd and Loretta Bair Metzger. One Brother-in-law: Bill Metzger.

Services January 10, 2003 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel. 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson, with Rev. Gary Britton and Pastor Viola Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson
