Major Jay Watts on Thursday, April 14, 2005. Major Watts was retired from the United States Airforce after 25 years of service and also retired after 20 years from the US Weather Service. He was the beloved husband of Alene Jones Watts. Preceded in death by his first wife, Lenora Tucker Watts. Survived by their children, Sandi Sue W. Wadleigh, Karen W. Reed, William J., Donald C. and Retired Lt. Colonel Alan C. Watts. Brother of Beth Nezat, Barbara Theodus and the late Frances Moorman, Calvin, Eldon ''Pete'' and Max Watts. Son of the late William Thomas Watts and Vada Watson Watts. Father-in-law of David Wadleigh, Stephanie, Lauri and Barbara Watts. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Age 87 years. A native of Ruston, La and a resident of New Orleans, La for the past 45 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Service in the Chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, La. on Monday, April 18, 2005 at 11:00 AM. Interment: Westlawn Memorial Park. Parlors will be open on Sunday evening from 6:00PM - 10:00PM and on Monday from 10:00AM until service time.
