Bernardo, a resident of Abiquiu, was predeceased by his parents Maximinio and Rosita Archuleta; 7 sisters and 1 brother.

Bernardo was survived by his wife of 60 years, Ida Archuleta; daughters: Virginia Lopez (husband Juan), Rosita Archuleta (companion Ostalio); and Rosemary Meyer (husband Eckhardt); sons: Jerry Archuleta (wife Nora) and Bernardo Archuleta (wife Kari); and brother Remigio Archuleta.

One of Bernardo's greatest joys was spending time with his 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Bernardo served in the 71st Infantry in Germany and was a proud World War II Veteran. A 50 year member of the Labor's Local Union 16, Bernardo retired from Los Alamos after 25 years. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, tending to his garden, and ranching. Bernardo was deeply faithful and was an active member of the La Sociedad de San Jose, the Society of Holy Family, and the Fraternidad Piadosa de Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno and the Morada de Moqui. Bernardo, along with his wife Ida, provided a loving home to their children and extended this love as they also raised their nephew Max Archuleta and grandson Mario Archuleta.

Pallbearers: Maximinio Archuleta, Leroy Lopez, Margarito Lopez, Benjamin Jaramillo, Joel Dominguez and Roselio Duran.
