Steubenville – Mrs. Ebba C. (Burgie) Wehr, 72, of 1132 Wellesley Ave., died in the Ohio Valley Hospital at 1 a.m. today.
She was born in McKeesport, Pa., Nov. 14, 1897, daughter of the late Karl and Christine Burgeson . Her husband, Guy Wehr, Sr., died March 29, 1968.
Mrs. Wehr was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Woman's Association of the church, Woman's Advisory Board of the Ohio Valley Hospital and Primrose Twig of the Ohio Valley Hospital.
She was also a member of the board of trustees of the Steubenville Woman's Club.
Mrs. Wehr was a graduate of the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsburgh.
Surviving are two sons, Attorney Guy Jr. at home and Attorney William W. of Steubenville; one sister, Mrs. George (Elsa) Smith of McKeesport; one brother, Barney Burgeson of Boarp. Sweden, and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at the McClave Funeral Home Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 2 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held in McClave Chapel at 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Dr. Ross W. Porter officiating. Interment will be made in Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
