Steubenville – Guy Wehr, Sr., 80, of 1133 Wellesley Ave., Steubenville, died in Ohio Valley Hospital at 9:10 a.m. Friday.
He was born in Calles, Ohio, July 28, 1887, son of the late Charles and Augusta Yockey Wehr.
Mr. Wehr was a retired Wheeling Steel Corp. employe and was a consultant with Wheeling Steel following his retirement.
He was a member of Westminister Presbyterian Church, Pilgrim Lodge F. and AM, Scottish Rite of the Valley of Steubenville, Aladdin Shrine Temple of Columbus, Steubenville Shrine Club, life member of the Steubenville Elks and American Iron and Steel Institute.
Mr. Wehr was graduated in 1913 from Carnegie Institute of Technology and was a member of Delta Epsilon Fraternity.
Surviving are his widow, Ebba Burgeson Wehr; two sons, Attorney William W. Wehr of Wintersville and Attorney Guy Wehr, Jr., at home; one sister, Mrs. Clyde (Lillian) Goddard of Wichita, Kans.; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from noon to 2 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the McClave Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the McClave Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Ross W. Porter officiating. Burial will be made in Ft. Steuben Burial Estates.
