Arthur J. Anderson, 81, Godfrey Rd., Milton, died Tuesday, March 10, in Edgerton Hospital after an illness.

Born March 7, 1906 in Edgerton he married Florence Nelson on Sept. 12, 1937 in Stoughton. He was a farmer in the Stoughton-Edgerton area until his retirement and was previously employed by Farmers Warehouse in Edgerton, Fischer Body and Standard Oil of Orfordville. He was a 1924 graduate of Stoughton High School and was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and Sons of Norway, Mandt Lodge 314. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Mark; a brother, Marvin and a daughter, Kathleen.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Gary and David, both of Milton; three daughters, Marlene Van Coulter, Kay Kenyon and Betty Jean Reed, all of Milton; ten grandchildren; two brothers, Harold and Robert, both of Milton; and five sisters, Beatrice Danielson of Edgerton, Bertha Henkle of Calimesa, Calif., Louise Adee of Milton, Ruth Behnke of Bensenville and Irene Stricker of Warren, Mich.

Services will be held on Friday, March 13, in Hope Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. with Pastor George Carlson officiating.
