Abigail (Hathorn) Kanouse was originally buried in the Sandy Hill Cemetery in Paterson, New Jersey. Her remains, along with those of her son, Thomas Hathorn Kanouse, were removed from Sandy Hill and buried in the Hathorn family plot at Cedar Lawn on June 24, 1868.
