HEATON, MAURINE BRYANT, age 92 passed away at home January 1, 2010, after a long illness. She was one of seven children born to Tom Hodges and Ida Martha Buckelew, all of whom predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her husband of 42 years, James Robert Bryant and her husband of 20 years, Wilson F. Heaton. She was a long time member of Springdale Baptist Church in the Ketona area. It was there that she and J.R. raised three sons who survive her, James Robert Jr. "Jim" and wife Peggy, Thomas J. Bryant "Tommy" and Norman L. Bryant "Speedy" and wife, Janice. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Four step children, Gary J. Heaton (Kathy), Travis Heaton, Norma Guden (Ron) and Cynthia Newman (Richard). Visitation will be Monday January 4 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Chapel services will be Tuesday, January 5 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Harold Rhoades officiating and burial to follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
