HEATON, WILSON F., age 87, of Trafford, AL, died January 29, 2004. Mr. Heaton was a native of the Tarrant area, he lived the rest of his life in Blount County. He retired from the U.A.B. Hospital and was also a retired Holiness Minister. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Rutherford Heaton; brothers, Sam and George Heaton; sisters, Irita Doss and Aline Hawkins. Survivors include his wife, Maurine Heaton of Trafford, AL; sons, Gary J. (Kathy) Heaton of Trafford, AL, Travis Heaton of Remlap, AL; daughters, Norma (Ron) Gudgen of Cullman, AL, Cynthia (Richard) Newman of Cullman, AL; grandchildren, Bradley Newman, Jennifer Newman Bryant and Caleb Heaton; step-sons, James Bryant, Sr. of Gardendale, AL, Thomas Bryant of Birmingham, AL, Norman Bryant of Center Point, AL; eight step-grandchildren; 13 step great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held Sunday, February 1, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Tabernacle United Methodist Church, Locust Fork, with burial in adjoining cemetery. Mr. Heaton will lie in state at the church Sunday, February 1, 2004 from 1 until time of service. Lemley Chapel Funeral Home, Oneonta, AL, directing.
