DEATH OF ROBERT EARL SMITH

Robert Earl Smith was born at Liverpool, N. Y., November 5, 1822, and died at his home in this city on Saturday, February 18, 1905, aged 82 years.

On March 2, 1855 [sic - 1854] he was married to Miss Helen M. Land [sic - Lamb], who, with five children survive him.

The family moved to Michigan in 1821 [sic - 1881] and settled in Delta Township, in which place they lived until about a a [sic] year ago, when they moved to this city.

The surviving children are: Mrs. Ella Soule of N.Y. state; Lawrence and Theron Smith of Alba; Mrs. Amos Halbert and Miss Grace Smith, the latter chief operator in the Michigan State telephone office, both of this city.

Funeral services were held at the Congregational church on Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. A. A. Secord,
