George W. McKEE, second son of David S. McKEE and Margaret McKEE, was born near Fairfield in 1866, where he departed this life at the age of 62 years 9 months and 9 days.... He was united in marriage to Emma Jane HUSTON who preceded him in death in 1893. This union was blest with one child, Bonnie L. NIXON of Stockport.

He was married again in 1895 to Anna GRANT. To this union six children were born: A son passing away in infancy; Carl G., of Belle Plaine; Fayette, Fenton, Marguerite and Myrtle all at home. Besides a devoted wife and children he leaves a sister, Mrs. Kate POTTER of Medford, Ore., and two half sisters, Mrs. Mary HETHERINGTON of Perry, Okla., Joey BENNETT of Ottumwa, and an only aunt, Emeline WALKER of Stockport, a daughter in law, Mrs. Carl McKEE, four grandchildren, Webb, Thelma, Beth and Emma Jane. His life was spent in Jefferson and Van Buren Counties....
