Shirley J. Chandler, 69, of West Church Street, Greeneville, passed away April 18, 2013, at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

She retired from BTL Industries.

Mrs. Chandler attended the House of the Lord and First Christian Church as long as her health permitted.

She was a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was a very devoted Christian.

Survivors include her husband: Keith Chandler; two daughters and one son-in-law: Linda Jo Chandler and Debra Ann and Earl Watford; grandchildren: Sherry Ann Carlisle and her husband, Michael, and Dustin Lee Watford; great grandchildren: Noah and Callie; one stepdaughter: Jannie Newton; one stepson: Gary Spears; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Hilda Rice Foulks and Caroline and Cline Cook; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Ronnie and Nancy Rice and D.C. and Patsy Rice; two aunts: Nettier Holland and Porchia Cutshaw; one uncle: Clyde Rice; several nieces and nephews; and her special friends: Hazel Ricker, Carolyn Melton, Peggy Jeffers, Jeanette Williams and her friends at Hurd Lock.

She was the daughter of the late Wesley and Nettie Lamb Rice and was preceded in death by an infant child and a brother, J.C. Rice.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Lynn Mercer officiating.

Interment will follow in Walker Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Michael Carlisle, D.C. Rice, Ronnie Rice, Jason Matthews, Christopher Cutshall, and Eric Cutshall.

Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Cook, Cline Cook, Rickey Broyles, Richard Cutshall, Bobby Cutshall, and members of the House of the Lord Church.

The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff of Amedisys Hospice.
