In 1652 he removed to Watertown and within a couple of years sold his estate and bought 60 acres near the Concord boundary. This area was called Watertown Farms.
In 1669 he purchased 200 acres more at Watertown Farms. Afterward the town was known as Weston. Rebecca died here.
It was about 1673 when he moved to Charlestown. He married a second time to Abigail Rogers, 29 Nov 1678. His occupation at times over the years was listed as "Farmour", planter, Haberdasher, shop-keeper and once as "Habadasher of Hatts".
The inventory of his estate amounted to a goodly sum for his day.
