Born April 25, 1917 to James Edward and Kindness Nelson Stock in the Binghampton area of Tucson, Arizona. Viola was the oldest of eight children. She served an LDS mission in Alberta, Canada, then married William H. Jarvis Jr. in 1940 in the Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple. They lived in the Mormon colonies in Mexico until 1951 when they moved to Provo, Utah. Viola and Bill are the parents of 10 children: Vila Ruth (Carl) Wakkure, Francis H. (Shan) Jarvis, Alvin W. Viola is preceded in death by her husband, two sons, one brother and two sisters. Viola was a nurse at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center for 15 years. She loved being a temple worker at the Provo Temple, teaching primary for many years and serving in many other church callings. She loved the Lord and everyone she met. She was active for many years in the Disabled American Veterans and the Timpanogos Rock Club. After over 50 years in Provo, Viola moved to Mt. Pleasant. She loved her new home, especially the view out her back window that reminded her of her home in Binghampton. She met and loved many new neighbors in these last few years of her life. No matter where she lived she always practiced provident living to help meet the family's needs. She was a gracious lady. The family is so appreciative of all the friends and family she loved and who have played such an important part of her life, and ours. We love you all. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 23 at 10:30 a.m. at the Mt. Pleasant LDS Chapel on 3rd South and Highway 89. Viewing will be from 9:30-10:15 prior to the funeral at the same location. Interment at the Provo City Cemetery.
