WOODBRIDGE — Funeral services were held Wednesday for the late Mrs. Bertha L. Oxenford of Woodbridge.

She was a teacher for thirty-three years in the public schools of Perth Amboy.

She died Saturday afternoon in the Perth Amboy General Hospital.

Mrs. Oxenford was one of the oldest teachers in service at the Shull school.

Interment took place in the Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy.

Mrs. Oxenford, a prominent fraternal organiaztion woman, was a member of Americus Chapter No. 137, Order of Eastern Star; past commander of Pride of Amboy Circle No. 32, Lady Foresters; past councilor of Liberty Council No. 14, Sons and Daughters of Liberty, of Perth Amboy; organizer and past councilor of Nancy Lincoln Council No. 117, Daughters of America, Woodbridge; deputy state councilor of Lila W. Thompson Council No. 35, Daughters of America, of Metuchen; past county councilor of Middlesex Past Councilors Association, of the Sons and Daughters of liberty and past county councilor of Middlesex Past Councilor's Association of Daughters of America.
