John W Hoffman, coal trucker, was killed thursday night in a head-on collision with a truck on a hill and curve on York Road one mile south of the Maryland state line.
Mr. Hoffman who was forty-eight years of age, was a World War Veteran having been a Corporal in the Central Record Office of the A.E.F.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs Lillian Loreman, a brother Elmer of Catawissa R.D, a sister Mrs william Johnson of Catawissa, a brother Jacob Hoffman of Akron, Ohio and two sons, Kenneth & Dean of Johnson City, New York.
His father, Henry A Hoffman died before him.
