Bobby Roland Baker, of Farmers Branch, Dallas County, Texas, passed away on Thursday evening, 21 April 2005, at Medical City Hospital of Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.. He was 72.

Mr Baker was born on Thursday, 26 January 1933, to James Roland Baker and Myrtle Lee Dodson Baker, in Twitty, Wheeler County, Texas. He was the first of three children born to this union.

He was united in marriage to Oletha Vay Clark on Friday, 20 July 1962. Mrs. Baker survives Bobby. They were married 42 years. To their union were born two children: son Mark Allen Baker and son Casey Clark Baker.

Bobby grew up throughout Wheeler County and graduated from Shamrock High School in 1952. He moved to Dallas, Texas in 1957 and worked as a diamond drill bit mold plotter in the oil field industry for 25 years. A Farmers Branch resident for nearly 27 years, he was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed horology, the art of making clocks and watches, looking at old cars and watching westerns on TV.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant sister Betty Ann Baker.

Survivors include his wife, son Mark Allen Baker and wife Wendi, granddaughter Lindsey Baker, granddaughter Natalee Baker, son Casey Clark Baker and wife Brandi, all of Lewisville, sister Pauline Boswell and husband Don, nephew David Boswell, all of Richardson.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, 24 April 2005, at North Dallas Funeral Home.

Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 AM on Monday, 25 April 2005, at First Baptist Church of Farmers Branch, officiated by Sam Underwood.

Interment followed at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of North Dallas Funeral Home of 2710 Valley View Lane, Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.
