"Rites Feb. 27" Albert Arrowood, 84, well-known resident of Johnson County, died Thursday at his home at Offutt after an illness of one year.
He was a son of George and Samantha Billingham Arrowood, and was born at Meally on August 4, 1880. He had been a resident of Offutt for 40 years.
Surviving is his wife, Buna Ward Arrowood, to whom he was married at River, Kentucky in 1906.
Other survivors are three sons, Russell Arrowood, Charleston, W. Va.,Burl Arrowood, South Charleston, W. Va., Estill Arrowood, Huntington, W. Va., one brother, Ben Arrowoosd, Olive Hill, Ky., two sisters, Mrs. R. G. Wells, Pikeville, Mrs. Alice Bayes, Ashland, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, at the Preston Funeral Home by Ivan Butcher and Glen Arrowood.
Burial was in the Gambill Cemetery at River, Ky.
