I noted that Frances' name was listed as Frances L. on her headstone and that her actual middle name may be Leonard after her mother's maiden name. She named her daughter Francis Leonard and her headstone is leaning against hers. So Fiske most likely is not her middle name. After her husband's death she lived for a time with her daughter Sarah Spring and son-in-law Bernard Eseke. Bernard was born in Holungen, Ger. During that period of time she lived in IA. She later moved back to Ill. and in 1850 was found living with her oldest son Joseph and in 1860 she was living with her son Fordyce.
