Ruth R. Curtis was born February 29, 1912 at Courtland, and died November 14, 1985 at Lyons District Hospital in Lyons, Kans. She was 73. She was a retired nurse, having been employed at Weld County Hospital of Greeley, Colo., and Belleville Hospital. She had been a resident of Lyons the last five years, moving there from Greeley, Colo., where she was a member of the United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. Survivors include one brother, Rev. Charles M. Curtis of Wichita; one sister, Frances E. Behnke of Lyons; seven nieces and nephews; five great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held November 18 at the United Methodist Church of Lyons with Rev. Bruce Marshall officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 23 in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Courtland, with Rev. Marvin Palmer officiating.
