He was born in New Bedford, Mass., October 28, 1889, son of Joseph and Antoinette (Casavant) St.Jean. He had been a resident of Pawtuxet Valley for 50 years until his retirement in 1958. He was a member of the Union of Prayers of St. John's Church, Artic, and of West Warwick Post No. 2, American Legion.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Emile at home and Chief Edward St. Jean stationed at the Naval Base in Atlanta, GA. where he is an instructor in the ROTC School; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Olivier of Warwick and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 8 a.m. from the Potvin & Son Funeral Home, 167 Washington Street, West Warwick, with a solemn requiem Mass in St. John's Church, Artic 9. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Warwick.
