Claude N. Agee, 64, of 3014 West Malone, Peoria, Illinois died at 5 a.m. December 21, 1988. Born September 3, 1924 in Kansas City, Kansas to Peter Obediah and Anna Pearl Reeves Agee. He married Emily L. Meeth, July 9, 1949 in St. Louis. He was an Army veteran of World War II and recipient of both the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a life-time member of VFW Post 8662, Cooties Pup Tent I and Disabled American Veterans 1. He worked in the bottling department of Hiram Walker and Sons Distillery for 34 years, retiring October 1, 1979. He was a member of Walkers Rod and Gun Club of Farmington. Surviving are his wife Emily, one daughter, Viola Marie Deely of Sibley, Missouri; one son, Carl Nelson of Peoria; two grandchildren; his mother Pearl Agee of Lebanon, Missouri. Two sisters, Inez Duffey of Lebanon, Missouri and Tressie Scott of Brighton, Michigan. Four brothers, Albert and Chester of Lebanon, Lawrence and Paul of Brighton, Michigan. His father preceded him in death. Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 23, at Endsley and Son Funeral Home in Peoria. The Reverend John Younker officiating. Burial was in Swan Lake Memory Gardens with military services at grave side.
