Mrs. Rice was a native of Natchez and lived there until her early adulthood. She and her husband moved around in Mississippi as her husband worked with A & P Stores. She moved to Crystal Springs is 1970 and later moved to Baton Rouge in 2010. She was employed with Piggly Wiggly for many years.
She was preceded in death by her son Timothy Doyle Davis, Sr.
She is survived by sons, Johnny Wayne Davis of Baton Rouge, LA and Curtis Ray Davis of St. Louis, MO; sister, Eunice Bryant of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Tammy Davis Pruitt (Darrel), Thomas Davis, Timothy Davis, Jr. (Jennifer), Toni Davis Grimes (John), Kimberly "Sissy" Davis Tullis, and Phillip Davis; and great grandchildren, Catherine Pruitt, Peyton Davis, Haleigh Davis, Marissa Grimes, John Grimes, Jr., and Cooper Grimes.
