He was a veteran of the civil war, enlisting in Co. C, 11th Regt. Pa. Vol., of which Dick Coulter was colonel. He served three years and then re-enlisted and at close of the war was discharged as first lieutenant.
He married Miss Mary Campbell, of Cook township, and moved to Nebraska in 1868 where he became a prosperous and successful farmer. He served one term in the Nebraska legislature and another term since as sergeant-at-arms in the House. He was a Republican in politics.
He is survived by his widow, four sons and one daughter, and by the following brothers and sisters: N. M. Weller and E. T. Weller, of Ligonier; Mrs. Phillippi and Mrs. McAtee, of Cook township, and Mrs. Smith, of Bellefonte, Pa.

Henry D. Weller, one of the best known men Richardson county, died yesterday at his home In Stella after a short with pneumonia after a year's disability from paralysis. He was born in Pennsylvania in 1841 and came here In 1868, living on a farm until ten years ago. When Stella was started In 1882, he helped to survey the townsite. He served fifteen years on the local school board, and stood high in the republican party. He elected county commissioner in 18SS, and the next year to the state legislature.
