Death of Former Resident
Mrs. Elizabeth Watt, of Collinsville, a former Jarvis Township teacher, died suddenly at her home last Thursday morning. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Geers, who lived south of St. Jacob. She attended the Virgin School and taught in Jarvis township. Later she married Wilbur Edwards, who preceded her in death. To this union was born one son, Lester. Later, she married Dr. Charles Watt of Collinsville, who survives her.
She is also survived by her son, Lester Edwards of Collinsville; one grandchild; three sisters; Mrs. Mabel Widicus of Lebannon, Mrs. John Davis of East Alton, Mrs Edgar Faires of St. Jacob, besides other relatives.
Funeral services were held last Saturday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Collinsville and interment was in the Collinsville cemetery.
