Died 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, 1992, at Lane Memorial Hospital, Zachary. She was 98, a native of Horatio, Ark., and a resident of Greenwell Springs. Visiting was held at Welsh Funeral Home, 6700 Florida Blvd., 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, with Order of Eastern Star services at 6 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home chapel, 10 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Carroll Marr. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Helen A. and Walker J. Cress, Greenwell Springs; two grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Jim and Jane Cress, Jackson, Wyo., and John and Charlanne Cress, Greenwell Springs; a granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Linda Cress and Paul Redmon, Greenwell Springs; and five great-grandchildren, Mark and Teri Cress, Walker and Kathy Cress and Lindsey Bofinger. She was a member of Zoar Baptist Church and a charter member of Central Star No. 23 of Order of Eastern Star.
