Gladell Bennett, 83, of Pasadena, Texas, and a Pleasant Hill native formerly of Jacksonville, died April 22, 2003, in Pasadena. She was born March 12, 1920 in Pleasant Hill to James and Elva Cheek Crowder. She had been employed by the state of Illinois as a clerical worker for many years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Cremation rites were accorded in Texas. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 9, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at Crescent Heights Cemetery in Pleasant Hill with services conducted by the Rev. Wilson Ramsey. Visitation will be Thursday, May 8, from 6-8 p.m. at the Ward-Lummis Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill.
