Aurelia and James H. were married in 1878 by Rev. E.H. Jones at the home of her parents. She later inherited the homeplace of her ancestors including the old Taylor Furnace property in 1885. They had eight children: Daisey, Stephen, James A., Nathan B., Lizzie Elma, Rev. Patrick H., Dr. David T., and Mary Ann (CA). Two died in infancy, Stephen (1880) and Lizzie Elma (1886). Aurelia was an active in the Church as a member of the Aid Society and the Sunday School. She passed away just a few days shy of her 84th birthday. Her large and well attended funeral was performed by the Rev. Seastrunk Sr., and the Rev. Aaron Tobler. The amount of flowers presented was said to have been unsurpassed.
