Last Rites Held At Story City For Andrew Matheason

Funeral services for Andrew Matheason were held in Grace E.U.B. Church, Story City on Saturday, February 15, at 2 p.m. Pastor H. W. Riegel officiated and burial was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Mrs. Darrell Doolittle, organist accompanied David Greedy as he sang. Casketbearers were Lloyd Erickson, Harold Holm, Lawrence Osheim, Arnold Johnson, Charles Erickson and Charles Fuller.

Obiturary

Andrew Matheason, son of Anna and Marius Matheason was born at Randall on February 17, 1890 and died early Thursday morning, February 13, at the Story City Memorial Hospital where he had been admitted twelve hours earlier. He was 73 years old at the time of his death.

He was baptized in the Grace E.U.B. Church at Story City and had lived all of his life in and near Story City.

In 1914 he was married to Emma Frankfurth of Hankinson, North Dakota.

Survivors include his wife, Emma; three children, Mrs. Adeline Voghtlin of Ames, Ervin of Wallingford and Raymond of Fairmont, Minnesota; 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; six sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Mae Doolittle, Mrs. Amanda Hendrickson, Mrs. Lykins, Nels Matheason and Albert Matheason, all of Story City, Mrs. Florence Klann of Ames, Mrs. Blanche Oppedal of Jewell and Victor Matheason of Nevada.
