Rodney D. Tracy, Galesburg Chapel 68, of Galesburg, II. died Friday April 5, 2013 at 3:15 PM at OSF St. Francis Medical Center Peoria, II.
He was born March 10, 1945 in Galesburg, the son of Dale and Marian Mecum Tracy. He married Sue Herron in Galesburg on May 6, 1967.
Rodney is survived by his wife; two sons, Christopher (and Michelle) Tracy of Galesburg and Heath (and Shannon) Tracy of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two sisters, Connie (and Judson) Briggs of Rock Island, Ill. and Terry (and Gary) King of Galesburg; four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1963 and later attended Canton (Ill.) Junior College. He was a survey crew chief for Kenneth Schrader for eleven years, and Project Manager for the City of Galesburg for twenty one years, retiring in 2007. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Galesburg.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, April 12, 2013 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Dr. Rev. David Parker officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, April 11, 2013 at the Chapel. Cremation will be accorded following the services with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
