Of the union of Dr. and Mrs. Wood were born eight children, as follows; George D., a resident of Waco, Texas, and an alderman of that city; Mary, who became the wife Kinsey Jordan of Ottumwa and died in 1872; Helen I, wife of E.R.Oliver, a Jeweler of Ottumwa; Charles L., lives in Pensacolla, Florida; Clara A., married James L. Serviss, a railway conductor; Julia F., wife of K. Jordan of Ottumwa; Robert P., lives in Montana; one child died in infancy.
