Alvin Nufer,85,died April 10, 1995, at Hill Regional Hospital, Hillsboro, Tx. Born Nov.6,1909 in Barton co. the son of Martin and Antionette(Deutch) Nufer, he married Mary Eichman on Feb. 12,1932 in Hodgeman co. A texas resident,he was a farmer and owner of the By-Pass Motel, Dodge City before retiring in 1973. He was a longtime resident of Dodge City and Jetmore, Ks. Survivors are two daughters, Donna Thornell(Bob) and Melva Jean Davis(Gene);seven grandchldren and seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Leo and Elmer of Dodge City,KS; sisters, Elsie Verhelst and Rachel Gilliland both of Great Bend,KS and Edna Ashley of Albuquerque,N.M.; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
