Carl Franklin "Frank" Polston, 70, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Major Hospital.

He was born Nov. 14, 1942, to Omra Polston and Flora (Hogue) Polston in Russell Springs, Ky.

Survivors include the mother of his children, Peg Pike of Shelbyville; four sons, Carl Franklin (wife, Amy) Polston of Indianapolis, Mike (wife, Lisa) Polston of Shelbyville, Josh (fiancee, Morgan Goode) Polston of Kokomo and Kevin (wife, Michelle) Polston of Shelbyville; five siblings, Norma Bowers of Rantool, Ill., Ralph (wife, Nancy) Polston of Shelbyville, Olena (husband, Harvey) Carter of Shelbyville, Phil Polston of Shelbyville and Barbara (husband, Tom) Harbin of Tennessee; sister-in-law, Shirley Polston; eight grandchildren, Chelsea Hood, Courtney Polston, Ashleigh Polston, Ali Polston, Cristyn and Caitlyn Polston, Jaxon Polston and Arianna Chambers; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ted Polston, infant brother, Jackie; infant sister, Patricia; and grandson, Jarrod Polston.

Mr. Polston was a resident of the area for 60 years. He was a 1960 graduate of Shelbyville High School. He was a finance manager for Fletcher Chrysler Products of Franklin for 21 years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of Hope's Point Baptist Church and American Legion Post #70. Frank enjoyed fishing, golfing and working in his yard.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2013, at the funeral home with the Rev. Ed Mohr and Pastor Keith Ellis officiating.

Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in care of the funeral home.
