CHARLES DANIEL WOODRING, 92, died at 7:45 a an. Today at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Catherine Aughinbaugh, Waynesboro R.D. 4. He was critically ill for the past month.He was bom in Mont Alto, Jan. 17, 1875, son of the late Daniel and Mary (Reesman) Woodring. At the age of four, he moved to Glen Forney and lived with his grandmother. Mr. Woodring, the oldest resident of Beartown, where he had lived for the past 72 years He was employed at Frick Co., D. M. Wertz' Orchards and the Wood Embly Brass Foundry until his retirement in 1950 Mr. Woodring was the last of his Immediate family. Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. Herman Green, Mrs. Aughinbaugh and Mrs. Robert Rook, all of Waynesboro R.D. 4; and Mrs. Donald Aldridge,-, Cham bersburg R.D. 5. Also, 24 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Services will be held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. from the Grove Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Ralph C. Wise. Interment will be made in Calvary Chapel Cemetery, Beartown. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
