WILLIAM BILL BOHN The funeral service for William Bill Bohn, 80, of Aberdeen, is 2:00pm, Friday, March 25, 2011 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church with Pastor Hyle Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park, Aberdeen with Military Honors by Sidney L. Smith American Legion Post 24. Bill died Monday, March 21 at Aberdeen Health and Rehab.

William Otto Bohn was born on May 28, 1930 to Albert and Mary (Kenitzer) Bohn at Aberdeen, SD. He grew up and attended school in Aberdeen. As a young man, Bill worked on various farms including the Baer family farm. He also worked for the Cass Clay Creamery in Aberdeen. Bill enjoyed attending dances at Tacoma Park and was known for his Lincoln Zephyr that he drove. Bill married Donna Marie Bohn on January 10, 1954 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Aberdeen. They made their home in Aberdeen their whole lives, except for two years that they lived in Washington.

Bill owned B&K Janitorial Service and did custodial work for many years. He was also a traveling salesman, selling everything from shoes to insurance. Over the years, Bill also worked with Donna in the dry cleaning business and owned a second hand store named The Bargain Center. In November of 2007, Bill and Donna moved into Aberdeen Health and Rehab. Bill was active in social events and showed religious videos and led many devotions. Donna died on January 23, 2009. Bill was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Aberdeen. He had a strong faith and was bold in sharing it with others. Bill was a hardworking man and a jack of all trades. He volunteered at New Beginnings when he was able to. Bowling was a favorite pass time of Bill and Donna. Bill enjoyed watching sports, especially Northern State University football and basketball. He was a fisherman and taught his children to fish. Bill loved his family and especially loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Grateful for having shared Bills life are his children David Bohn, Louise Nash, William Bill J. & Janet Bohn and Rosemary Moffenbier, his grandchildren, Kendra Bohn, Jason & Amy Bohn, Shawn & Amy Nash, Travis Nash, Byram Joseph BJ Nash, Nichole Chapin, William Albert Bohn, Sara Hohn, Jennifer Bohn, Tory Bohn, Kelly & Clint Ortmeier, Molly Ohman, Eric Moffenbier, Samantha Bohn, Tyler Moffenbier, Brandon Moffenbier, and Hailey Moffenbier, one sister, Loretta Shuff and many nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary, his wife of 55 years, Donna, two brothers, Elroy and Gus and three sisters, Virginia Albrecht, Genevieve Weeks and Sylvia Baer.
