Flora Ellen Guthrie Hamilton was born January 21st, 1868, and departed this life at her home near Nebo, December 25th, 1939, at the age of 71 years, 11 months and 4 days. She was united in marriage to Samuel H. Hamilton in 1885, who preceded her in death in the year of 1924. To this union was born one son, Daniel Hamilton of Nebo, who survives together with two brothers, Neal Guthrie and Charles F. Guthrie of Pleasant Hill, and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. One brother, John Guthrie of Pleasant Hill, and two sisters, Mrs. Christine Crowder and Mrs. Katherine Davis of Nebo preceded her in death. She had been in poor health for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother and neighbor. She will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services were held at the home of Neal Guthrie at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, December 27, with the Rev. Wm. Edwards in charge. Burial was in Crescent Heights cemetery.
