LOUISE McBEAN BROOKS


Suddenly and peacefully passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013 at Sunrise Senior Living on Connecticut Avenue, N.W. Predeceased by her loving husband William J. Brooks.

Survived by a devoted son William J. Brooks, Jr. of Eden Prairie, Minnesota and Cheryl Edwards. Her extended family included many individuals, especially Karen C. Page and Mary Cyrus. She was a long time and active member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church. She retired as a Foreign Service Officer at the Department of State. Her parents were Joseph McBean and Lillian Smith of the U.S. Virgin Islands. Viewing will be Friday, April 5, 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial follows at 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, 26 Grant Circle NW, Washington, DC. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Gabriel's Catholic Church for the benefit of the Petworth Youth Program. Interment, Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
