Charles M. Cool, 58, died at 11:30 last night in his home. He suffered a sun stroke July 3, and became seriously ill two weeks ago, when complications set in. Acute indigestion was reported as the immediate cause of death. Mr. Cool was born in Cordova June 25, 1874, son of Robert C. and Nancy Ellen CooL He was educated in Cordova schools, and was a lifelong resident of Rock Island county. He was married to Anna Tierney of Port Byron June 4, 1896, at Racine, Wis. The deceased was a member of the Cordova Methodist church. He operated a barber shop in Port Byron many years, although he had not worked at the trade the last two years. Survivors are the widow; one daughter, Nellie M. Cool of Port Byron; one brother, Lewis Cool of Los Angeles, Cal., and four sisters, Mrs. L. L .Parks and Mrs. Charles Mayo of San Diego, Cal, Mrs. Ed Altenbern of Elgin, Ill, and Mrs. Harry Beal of Lincoln, Neb. One son, Charles, died in 1927. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Monday afternoon In the home. The Rev. S. W. Graf, pastor of the Port Byron Congregational church and the Gordon Memorial Congregational church of Moline, will of-ficiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery.
