. JONESPORT - Edward A. Mansfield, 78, died Dec. 8 at the Veteran's Administration Hospital, Togus. He was born June 17, 1896, in Jonesport, son of George F. and Elberta (Crocker) Mansfield. He attended East Machias Academy and the University of Maine. He was a member of the Stewart Morrill Post, American Legion, South Portland, and a veteran of World War I. He was a retired real estate dealer and insurance broker, and had served several terms in the Maine State Legislature. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Miller Funeral Home, Main Street, Jonesport. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Jonesport. Friends may call at the funeral home anytime.
