Mrs. Rogers was born November 8, 1919 in Marion County, a daughter of the late Bradley and Lula Richardson Ammons. She had retired as an inspector form Legg's Inc. Mrs. Rogers was a longtime member of Mullins-Marion Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Rogers are: her Children: Betty James of Marion, Jan LaRowe of Norfolk, Va., Gary Ray Rogers of Thomasville, N.C., Dee Barfield of Latta, Ann Williams of Marion, Patricia "Tootie" Elliott of Nichols, Jimmy Rogers of Bishopville and Joyce Carter of Marion; 18 Grandchildren; 32 Great Grandchildren; and 6 Great Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Thursday, September 19, at Mullins-Marion Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Cedardale Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Mullins-Marion Freewill Baptist Church.
