Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Boersma of Hospers were held Saturday, October 2, at the home and at the First Reformed Church in Hospers with Rev. A. Hellinga officiating. Burial was in the Hospers Cemetery with Vander Ploeg's Funeral Home of Sioux Center in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Boersma passed away September 29 at Orange City, Iowa.

Mrs. Boersma nee Ella Hofmeyer was born in the Netherlands on Aug. 20, 1879. She came to America at the age of 2 years. On Feb. 13, 1902 she was united in marriage to Martin Boersma at Hospers, Iowa. To this union 2 children were born: Winnie (Mrs. Sylvester Van Rooyen) and Herman Boersma both of Sheldon. There are 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Boersma lived on a farm near Hospers until they moved into Hospers is 1950. Mr. Boersma died on March 10, 1952. Mrs. Boersma was 75 years old.

In addition to her two children she is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Hattie (Mrs. John Van Oort) of Sheldon, John Hofmeyer of Sanborn, George Hofmeyer of Sibley, Josie Mrs. Mike Foreman), William Hofmeyer, and Gertie (Mrs. Gerrit Vander Schaaf) all of Hospers, and Jake Hofmeyer of Orange City.

Two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
