Birth date explanation:

Rebecca was the sister of my 2nd Grt Grandfather James Robert Oilar. I was given letters & family charts that have been passed down thru the family for many years along with copies of newspaper articles & pictures. Although there is not an exact date for her birthdate listed. It is complied as July of 1848 which is backed up by all census listings for her life. On the 1860 census taken on the 9th of July she is listed as being 11 years old. On the 1870 census taken on the 8th of Aug she is listed as 22 years old. On the 1900 census taken on the 7th of June she is listed as 51 & her birth month is shown as July. The copies of family research goes as far back as Aug of 1956 & some shows research from a Oilar descendant dated 1929. So following family research & census records Rebecca would have been born sometime after the 9th of July 1848 & before Aug 1848. Plus if you look at her tombstone it appears to have not been erected by her family but some type of organization. So it would have been easy for information to have been mistakenly put down.
