(WHITE PLAINS) Charlie Fant, 84, of White Plains died Monday, April 7, 2003, at his residence.
Services will be at Chapel Hill Methodist Church at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. Paul Howard and the Rev. Russell Williams will officiate.
Mr. Fant was born in Chambers County on Jan. 1, 1919, son of the late Olin G. and Janie H. Fant. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was retired from West Point Pepperell after 27 years of service. He was a member of Chapel Hill Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Fant of White Plains; two sons, Randall Fant of Wadley and Gregg Farrar of White Plains; five sisters, Inez Sims, Ruth Pinkard, Frances Hill and Resa Ison of LaFayette, and Laura Barker of Lanett; two granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jimmie Lisenby.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Ison, Chris Ison, Jerome Ison, Charles Sims, Joe Sims, Ronnie Hill, Tim Hill and Mark Lisenby.
Arrangements were by Jeff Jones Funeral Home, LaFayette.
