Martha Jane Beasley, daughter of Lemuel Samuel and Harriet H. Beasley married Jesse Anderson Hales (confirmed Jesse's middle name by his Great Great Granddaughter Shannon Mullaly Miles 48088197 on 08/25/2013) on 20 Sep 1846 in Lawrence, Arkansas (According to Arkansas, County Marriages Index, 1837-1957). Martha was born in 1832 in Union Township, Lawrence, Arkansas. Martha and Jesse were the parents of nine children. Sometime while the family was being raised they moved to McDonald County, Missouri where Jesse engaged in farming and livestock raising. Martha died in 1905 in Neosho, Newton, Missouri and was buried in Fairlawn Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Oklahoma.

Their children were; John Anderson Hales, James Lemuel Hales who was born in 1850 and died in 1937 at Wesley Hospital is buried at Fairlawn Cemetery in Oklahoma City he is in Block 7 plot 275; Robert Jasper Hales; George Harrison Hales who was born on Feb. 14, 1860 and died Jun 16, 1930 in Long Beach, California and is buried at Fairlawn Cemetery in Oklahoma City he is in Block 5 plot 94; Lewis Hales; Thomas Hales; Mary Alice 'Molly' Hales who died when only 6 months old; William Taylor Hales who was born in Neosho, Newton, Missouri in Dec 1867 and died in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, USA on Sep. 15, 1938 and is buried at Fairlawn Cemetery in Oklahoma City he is in the Hales Mausoleum Crypt #2; and Harriot "Hattie" Hales.
