The second wife of Nathaniel, she was the mother of Mordecai Bean Cartmell (b.1808) and Martin D (b.1809); her only children who lived pass infancy. She was the daughter of Mordecai & "Juda" (Hammond) Bean. Sally & Nathaniel were wed by the Rev. Christian Streit on April 27, 1807 at the home of her parents on the grounds of the Old Furnace.
