Mrs. Lillian Brantley was born February 10, 1915, to the union of Mr. and Mrs. Branch Kern. Both preceded her in death. She departed this life July 2, 1978, in St, Dominic Hospital, Jackson, Mississippi.

She confessed Christ as her personal Savior at an early age.

She was united in holy wedlock to Mr. Pearl Brantley on November 10, 1954. To this union, 12 children were born. Four preceded her in death.

The family circle has been broken and survivors are Husband, Mr. Pearl Brantley, Kosciusko, MS; Daughters, Lessie Maxwell, Vicksburg, MS; Landress Winters, Indianola, MS; Sons: Columbus Brantley, Milwaukee, WI; C. L., Hermon, Doris, Teddie, and Jerry Brantley, Rochester, NY; Sisters, Willie Clark, Blanche Kern, Lenora Tucker, Edna Harmon, Clara Stribbling, Mabel Dodd, Essie Winters, Canary McMillian, Leflora McWillie, Velma Hatchet. Brothers, Elvige, Finerst, and Earnest Kern; 14 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, a host of relatives and friends.

"God saw the road was getting rough,
the hills were hard to climb. He gently
closed those loving eyes and whispered:
"peace Be thine." The weary hours,
the days of pain, the sleepless nights
are passed. The ever-patient worn-out
frame has found sweet rest at last."
