Mrs. Raye Austin, 51, formerly of Newark, died Wednesday in the home of her sister, Mrs. Effie Hill of 114 Cacciola place. She was the widow of William Austin.

Born in Georgia, Mrs. Austin was the daughter of the late Seaborn and Mary King.

Besides Mrs. Hill, she is survived by a brother, Hollis King of Bridgeport, Conn.; and five other sisters, Mrs. Ella Jones of Newark, Mrs. Hattie Snyder of Philadelphia, Mrs. Janie Hodge of Georgia, Mrs. Anne Williams of Michigan and Mrs. Candace Swain of Cleveland.

Services were held Saturday in the Plinton Funeral Home. The Rev. Sterling Glover, pastor of St. John's Baptist Church, Scotch Plains, officiated. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery.
