Lorene E.Coake, 70, died April 6,1991 at Humana Hospital,Dodge City,KS. Born Dec. 28, 1920 at Norfolk, Neb, the daughter of William and Emma Pauline(Niewohner) Kirschmer, she married Loyd D. Coake on Jan 16, 1943 at Raton, New Mexico. She graduated from high school in Central City, Colo. A homemaker, she was a Dodge City Resident since 1954 moving from Denver. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Chapter CF of PEO and Bas Bleu Study Club, all of Dodge City, and Ford Count Republican Women. Survivors are daughter,Pat Mercado of Dodge City and a son, David of Denver, Co.; ;mother, Emma Nelson of Dodge City; two grandchildren and two step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Donald Kirshmer on Jan. 14, 1950. Funeral services were at the church with Rev. Thomas Church officiating. Memorials went to PEO Continuing Education fund or the Center for Basic Cancer Research, Kansas State University.
